What’s important to me as I paint is to open up to Nature’s Divine Voice.
Circles, orbs, moons, portals and nature guardians appear in my work by design and sometimes by surprise. My painting process involves layering paint with free, loose and gestural mark-making, allowing the image to evolve and reveal itself in an intuitive way as I focus on the trees, water and energy of my environment.
I am drawn to the last light of the day before the dark of the night envelopes us. This liminal time for me is supercharged and magical, like standing on the threshhold between worlds.
